With the recent re-focus of the Team around the hilly and allround races, some rumours that the Sprint Train of YST would be dismantled started to be heard on the OCM World. One thing is clear, no one is happy with the Team's recent results on the sprints.
If we exclude the amazing 2nd place from Alípio on the mythical Helsinki GP, we need to go back to the beginning of S54 to see himself getting the 3rd place on the Volta SC and Hermenegildo getting another 3rd place on the modest Abaji - Abuja race.
Due to this, Hermenegildo and Abel both started a TF recharge close to the season end aiming to use it probably for the NL Tour and if possible, the Helsinki GP. Alípio on the other hand, who is recovering from an injury taken on his 2nd race of the season, the Boulevards de Brazzaville, will also rest during the next 30 days.
And here is where the rumour start, is Alípio really going to take a rest, or is he simply tired of racing for lower places with YST and still expecting to get a new career opportunity elsewhere before retiring? This feeling could also be noticed on the remaining 9 sprinters of the team, who without Alípio on the team would simply not trust Yuri to give them the power they need to battle for the first places.
One thing is clear, something needs to be done with this area of the team.
